daya dissanayake is a sri lankan writer who has written eight english and five sinhala novels as well as a book of poems. he has also translated into english twosinhala books. he received the state literary award for ‘best english novel 1998’ (the kat bitha) and ‘best english novel 2007’ (eavesdropper.) he was short-listed for swarna pusthaka 2007 (chandraratnage bhavanthara charikava) and won the saarc literary award in 2013.
